About this Event
Join us the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 29, as we work to maintain and improve our butterfly and pollinator meadow.
Nestled between San Mateo and Burlingame, Coyote Point Park boasts picnic areas, a small beach, a marina, and even a children's museum.
LOGISTICS AND ACCESSIBILITY :
The area is mostly level and we will be bending and kneeling as we use small garden tools to remove weeds. We will provide tools, gloves, and kneelers.
- We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty for your protection and comfort.
- Sunscreen, snacks, hats, and layers are also great to have on hand in case the weather gets warm or cold. If weather conditions are deemed too extreme, this event will be canceled and we will reach out to participants by email.
- There are restrooms and water near our restoration site, but we still recommend that you bring a personal water bottle for each member of your group.
A reminder email with more detailed instructions on the day's activities and where to meet will also be sent in advance of the event. We look forward to seeing you in the parks!
If signing up as a family or a group, please adjust the number of volunteer sign-ups according to the number of volunteers in your party when filling out your registration form.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian.
This is a family-friendly event and know that youth under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
