About this Event
Nestled between San Mateo and Burlingame, Coyote Point Park boasts picnic areas, a small beach, a marina, and even a children's museum. Come join us Saturday, January 4th as we work to maintain and restore key bioswales that help manage potential storm surge and king tides within the park!
LOGISTICS AND ACCESSIBILITY :
- We'll gather along the Beach Promenade where there is plenty of parking with a restroom nearby.
The area is mostly level and we will be bending and kneeling as we use small garden tools to remove weeds. We will provide tools, gloves, and kneelers.
- We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty for your protection and comfort.
- Sunscreen, snacks, hats, and layers are also great to have on hand in case the weather gets warm or cold. If weather conditions are deemed too extreme, this event will be canceled and we will reach out to participants by email.
- There a restroom and potable water will be available at our restoration site, but we still recommend that you bring a personal water bottle for each member of your group.
A reminder email with more detailed instructions on the day's activities and where to meet will also be sent in advance of the event. We look forward to seeing you in the parks!
If signing up as a family or a group, please adjust the number of volunteer sign-ups according to the number of volunteers in your party when filling out your registration form.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian.
Youth under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
