Home to not one, but two two-headed calves, the Huron County Museum is celebrating Cow Appreciation Day on Tuesday, July 9 and we invite you to join us!
Learn more about dairy farming from the Dairy Farmers of Ontario! Pre-register to save a seat in the theatre or lounge for one or more of the following sessions aimed at elementary/primary aged children (kindergarten +), which will have limited capacities:
Liquids and Solids (including butter making) - 10:30 am – 11:30 am in museum's lounge
Ice Cream! (including ice cream making) - 11:30 am – 12:30 pm in museum's lounge
Early Settler vs Modern Dairy Farming - 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm in museum's theatre
Medieval vs Modern Farming Tools - 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm in museum's theatre
There will also be drop-in cow-themed crafts, games and scavenger hunt throughout the day. And you can show off your appreciation for cows by picking up some Museum merch that is 10% off all day! We have t-shirts, socks, stickers, milk chocolate, and SO much more! All proceeds support the Museum.
There is no cost to pre-register and save your seat; all activities are included with purchasing regular museum admission on July 9th (free for Huron County Library Card holders, Museum Members and kids 5 & under).
