Don't leave your soil bare, dress it with a cover crop! Clothing the Earth with a cover crop can help restore essential nutrients and prevent erosion. Indigenous farmers recognized the importance of maintaining soil fertility and structure. They often planted specific crops, including legumes or grasses, to cover the soil between growing seasons.
