Registration is Free and Day of the EventCoventry Lake's First Ever Cardboard Boat Race

Registration and Boat Staging is between 10-11, If you have a PFD please bring it. All participants must wear a life jacket.
There will some available race day.
Race Starts promptly at 11. Will be going youngest to oldest.

CardBoard Boat Rules
Construction -
1. Boats should be constructed prior to the race
2. Materials - Cardboard, Duct Tape, Paint
3. No limit in qty of cardboard - layer it, stack it, appliance box, amazon box etc
4. Duct tape - any color, any size. Inside the boat,, outside the boat, make a flag, make a sail, use duct tape any way you see fit.
5. Paint - paint is allowed to decorate - there is unique overall categories being finalized.
6. All participants are required to wear a life jacket - a limited supply will be available for use at the event for anyone who does not have on
7. Racing Pre-K - 5 will race across the shoreline in 18-24inch deep water anywhere from 50-75ft in distance. (race is still being mapped out). Note for the littlest racers - they will go 1 by 1 on the course and timed for safety.
8. Grade 3-Adult - will race into the lake
9. Fastest time wins race
10. Need at least 1 person in the boat, or as many as you like. Age group is based on oldest person in the boat.
11. All Boaters must paddle
12. To begin the race - every boat must have a captain in the boat and be upright :)
13. Movement for race - Races may use arms, legs, cardboard, or a canoe paddle or short plastic paddle to move the boat fastest to the finish line. A limited amount of paddles will be available for those that doe not have one.
14. For the adult division and any division having more than 6 participants of each solo and team entries will be split into solo timed race and team timed race. With separate awards.
