The Covellite International Film Festival, founded in 2015 by Don Andrews in Butte, America, was created to celebrate independent cinema and the townโs diverse cultural landscape. Set in a city known for its historic mining roots, the festival quickly became a unique destination for filmmakers and film lovers from all over the world, showcasing a diverse array of documentaries, narrative features, and short films. With its eclectic programming and intimate community vibe, Covellite International Film Festival built a reputation for fostering meaningful dialogue between creators and audiences. Finally emerging from a lockdowns hiatus, the festival is making its highly anticipated return in April 2025, with a teaser gala, the CIFF Aperitif, set for November 9th, 2024, at CIFF's long-time home, The Covellite Theatre in Uptown Butte.
