Mini-Workshop:
Instructor: Zoe Webb (Iowa City, IA) and Alina Lusebrink (Champaign, IL)
Location: Illini Union, Illini Room A (1401 W Green St, Urbana, IL 61801)
Time: 1-5pm (3 hours of instruction; 1 hour of breaks and practice time built in)
Cost: $20 UIUC Students/$40 General (includes evening dance)
Topic: Switch Dancing
Course Description: Do you have a little experience dancing Lindy hop in both roles and you want to transition seamlessly between them during a song? This is the class for you! In this ELEF (everybody leads, everybody follows) workshop, we will increase your comfort in dancing both roles and teach a variety of ways to switch between them.
Prerequisites: In at least one role, students should be familiar with 8-ct and 6-ct footwork, including patterns such as a swingout, Lindy circle, passby, and a variety of turns. Students should be able to comfortably dance at least one full song in the other role.
