Courtyard Calligraphy with Patti Adams

In this three-session course students will be introduced to the beautiful tool of self-expression that is calligraphy. The class will be led by master calligrapher, Patti Adams, who is a signature member of the Louisiana Watercolor Society and the New Orleans Lettering Arts Association. Students will focus on the copperplate hand, study the art of copperplate flourishing, and receive invaluable guidance in their practice. The class will cover correct body posture, position, and placement of the pen, as well as the use of the proper tools.

All levels of students are welcome to join this class, including those just beginning their study of calligraphy.

Students are encouraged to participate in the complete series to gain a full hands-on experience; however, individual classes can be attended as well. Class sizes will be kept small with social distancing in place. All participants must wear a face mask.

The registration fee does not include materials. Students will receive a supply list after registering with items necessary for the course. These supplies will last for all class sessions.​​
