Get great at having hard conversations with Kaila Colbin
About this Event

Has this ever happened to you?

You’re sitting in a meeting and there are 50 elephants in the room with you that nobody is mentioning, and you’re doing the strategic plan but everyone knows it’s never going to work because the team don’t have the capability or the capacity and that one person never follows through and that other person thinks her work is better than it is, but nobody says anything and as you leave you think well THAT'S three hours I’m never gonna get back…

It’s hard to say the hard thing.

But saying the hard thing is the only way we can deal with what’s actually going on.

The number one indicator of a lack of courage is an inability to have hard conversations.

Hard conversations are scary. Our hearts start pounding, our tummies clench, our mouths go dry.

Hard conversations feel dangerous. If I say this thing, he’ll be offended! She’ll be angry! I’ll get in trouble!

Hard conversations are tempting to avoid. Nobody else is mentioning these elephants. Why should I?

But what if you were great at them?

What would it mean for your relationships?

What would it mean for your career?

What would it mean for your life?

Kaila Colbin has worked with more than 4,000 people to grow courage as a core competency and a clear framework has emerged from that experience.

In this 1-day workshop, you’ll build the skill and muscle to get great at having hard conversations.

We’ll cover the specific elements of how to communicate and what to communicate.
