Grab your other half and step onsite at Tacktics to join us for a one day retreat curated just for the two of you! This retreat is built to offer couples a day to unplug, unwind, and re-center together. Life is known to pull us in different directions, get us swept up in the details and the “busy work”. We invite you to step away from life’s demands for the day, and come together for an equine retreat you both will love.
This style of retreat was highly requested, and is crafted with thoughtfulness and purpose.
Retreat couples will get to experience stepping into a quiet, restorative space where connection, communication, and trust come to life—through the gentle presence of the horses and the beauty of the rolling Galena countryside.
Guided by Tacktics’ certified Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) facilitators, you and your partner will engage in a series of objective based activities with our herd—no riding involved, and no horse experience necessary. Each course is a series of obstacles and activities that you and your partner must complete with your horse. They will be focused on the objective of the course, and will make you laugh and problem solve, as some may be challenging!
In addition to the arena work, you and your partner will step up to the target range and anchor in mindfulness. Air pistols will be provided with a full safety briefing before the two of you get to fire your rounds under the guidance of the facilitator. This activity also allows each participant to take home their paper targets!
The Couples Day Retreat will include all specially selected food and drink throughout the day, exciting swag bags that include Tacktics merch, and fond memories and growth created by each of you.
