Join other volunteers for planting 40 trees and shrubs in Sanctuary Woods. This project is co-funded by the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center and Milwaukee County Parks, and other individual donors. We are seeking volunteers!! There are tasks for any skill level, no experience needed, equipment, training and supervision will be provided.
Registration requested for coordination purposes. Appropriate for all ages. Gloves and safety glasses will be provided - bring your own if you have favorites. Consider bringing your own water container, we will have additional water onsite.
Meeting at 9am at the tree planting site (see instructions and image below).
Eventbrite requires an address, but this address only gets you close. County Grounds Park has no formal address, but can be found and navigated to via Apple/Google/Waze Maps searching “Sanctuary Woods Parking”. That square gravel parking area is 0.5 mile north and west of 87th & Watertown Plank Road and will have a sign for "County Grounds Park". From that parking area, there will be small flags leading 1/4 mile to a prairie in the middle of the woods. Per the attached map, follow the solid red line for driving/parking, and the blue line for walking/planting.

Dress for the weather, we will hold event even in light rain. There are no onsite restrooms.
