About this Event
County Day is the annual leaders training day of our County, Girlguiding Lancashire West for our leaders, leaders in training and young leaders, with separate session for our Trefoil Guild members. Leaders arrive 9am onwards. County Commisioner Welcome at 9.30am.
Leader morning session - Section training sessions for Rainbows, Brownies or Guides/Ranger leaders. This year trainers will be including ideas on adapting the programme and sharing their favourite ideas for your section.
Leader afternoon sessions* - On a first come, first served basis, a choice of 2 trainings from these options:
- 5 minute fillers (session 1)
- Recruitment & retention - adults and girls (session 1)
- RSPB & Sealife Challenge badges (session 1)
- Science and Discovery for younger girls - Rainbows & Brownies (session 1)
- Theme evenings (session 1)
- Dealing with behaviours that challenges in girls (session 2)
- Promise games (session 2)
- Quick and easy crafts/creativity (session 2)
- Science and Discovery for older girls - Guides & Rangers (session 2)
- Seasons (session 2)

Trefoil Guild member morning session
Lunchtime - meet the advisers, County team help desk, plus Trefoil Guild members will share some crafts
The cost of this training is the same as previous years, £5 per person, and can be paid for from unit funds. If leaders are unable to attend all day, they can attend for the morning or afternoon session only but the cost remains the same. Drinks will be provided but leaders/Trefoil Guild members should bring a packed lunch.
- All leader bookings must be made via Eventbrite with payment at time of booking. Preferred sessions will be selected as part of booking process. Book early to avoid disappointment!
- Trefoil Guild members can book via Eventbrite or via Gill Howard.
