really means.COUNTRY is a beautifully curated, immersive sensory experience that brings together live music, spoken word and visual art to celebrate land, culture, community, stewardship and belonging.
From grassroots buskers to emerging voices and established regional performers, artists of all cultures will share one original song or artwork that expresses their personal connection to Country — on one of Australia’s most iconic stages, the Tamworth Town Hall.
“Country isn’t just a genre; it’s who we are,” says producer Rebel Black of THE Hungry Spirit. “This event gives voice to the many ways people connect to place and story - through sound, image and heart.”
Presented in partnership with Tamworth Regional Council, THE EDGE Fest and Tin Camp Studios, COUNTRY will also feature a stunning projection of regional visual artworks on the Town Hall’s LED screen, creating a multi-sensory journey that honours Country in every sense.
EOIs are now open for seven performers/musicians and visual artists from rural, regional and remote Australia to take part. Selected artists will receive full professional production support and be included in the project’s transparent profit-share model.
