Counterpunch is an American punk rock band based in the small town of Chicago, Illinois. Forming in 2001, they have released 4 full length records and 2 EPs to date. They have been a stalwart in the Midwest’s melodic punk scene for over 15 years and counting. With a sound that invokes mid 90’s melodic skate punk from the hey day of Epi-Fat and Warped Tour, Counterpunch is keeping that tradition alive while pushing the boundaries of their sound into the modern era. Soaring 3-part harmonies and multiple lead vocalists accompany metal inspired riffs and frenetic beats that are just as at home in the pit as they are on Faction XM. The band consists of current members Eric Hausser, Jared Rohde, Kyle Tilev and Jim Margle.
