Students will learn basic understanding of the fundamentals needed to complete their first 2 color basic counted cross stitch project. All materials are included in the class fee, just show up ready to learn!
What You Will Learn:
What is Counted Cross Stitch
Difference between counted cross stitch and stamped cross stitch
Materials & tools (identifying essentials)
Understanding Cross Stitch Charts
Prepare the Fabric and Hoop
Threading the Needle and Starting a stitch
Options – loop method or secure thread in back method
Making a Cross Stitch
Demonstrate the correct technique for making a single cross stitch
Working with Different colors
Backstitch and Other techniques
Following a pattern and finishing
Troubleshooting and "Frogging"
Materials Provided:
Aida cloth
2 colors of DMC floss
DMC tapestry needles
Nurge embroidery hoop
Floss bobbins
Printed pattern
