Please join us for Council in the Park on from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 14 at the Joplin Athletic Complex, located at 3301 W 1st St, Joplin, MO 64801. Light refreshments will be provided.
This is not a formal council meeting; there is no agenda, and no items will be voted on. Up to three council members will be present at upcoming Council in the Park events over the next year to avoid having a quorum of council present, as no official city business will be decided during these events.
A couple of sessions were held in 2024, and more are planned for 2025, including:
Monday, January 13, 2025: Joplin History & Mineral Museum
Monday, April 14, 2025: Joplin Athletic Complex
Monday, July 14, 2025: Cunningham Park
These events allow Council members to meet and engage with the public to answer questions, listen to ideas, and address concerns. We’re eager to hear from you!
