Further detail:
Join Claire Hughes & Annette Collins in this weekly course, all welcome, no partner or experience necessary, instruction will be given - selecting dances from their repertoire of solo, 2-hand dances, Irish Ceili, Scottish, French and Breton dances - in lines, circles and couples (you may wish to bring a partner and dance together, this is not essential). You can join at any time, drop-ins welcome.

Dates:
19, 26 May, 2, 9, 16 June - each session will run from 7-830pm, with an extended 2 hour session for the Grand Finale on 16 June.

Detail:
Sunday 19 May, 7-830pm: Traditional Solo dance workshop at 2 levels: beginner / intermediate, teaching newly choreographed steps from Maria Monakova. The steps were written to a tune called the Butterfly, a slip jig (9/8 time signature) in 3 parts.
Sunday 26 May, 7-830pm: mixed folk dances
Sunday 2 June, 7-830pm: mixed folk dances
Sunday 9 June, 7-830pm: mixed folk dances
Sunday 16 June, 7-9pm: Grand Finale, to include solo dances as well as mixed folk dances - with live music

Footwear: Wear comfortable shoes, sneakers are not advisable.
