After a flying start to January with an amazing show we've got the perfect follow up in Micky P Kerr, making his first ever CCC appearance.
A usual we will have an array of great supporting acts and Dough Punks are back again for their regular slice of the action, serving up tasty pizzas from 6:30pm before the show starts at 8pm.

Fusing together music, spoken word and comedy, with his tongue often planted firmly in his cheek, Kerr has been described as “the bastard spawn of John Cooper Clarke”.
Already a familiar face on the live music circuit, Micky turned his hand to stand-up comedy in 2013 and quickly became “one to watch”.
In 2018 Micky entered Britain’s Got Talent, where he proved to be a massive hit with both the public and the judges, making it all the way to the final, which was watched by almost 11 million people.
2017 saw Micky take his debut solo show, ‘Micky P Kerr is Lay-Z’ to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He returned in 2019 with ‘Z List Celebrity’, which then went on to tour the UK. Both shows received rave reviews.
At the end of 2018, life-long Leeds Utd fan Micky wrote a ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ parody entitled ‘Bielsa Rhapsody’, a tribute to the Argentinan Leeds United manager. It immediately went viral after it was picked up by SportsBible, gaining over 5 million hits. The song was released at Christmas as a charity single in aid of the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice and it reached No 5 in the itunes chart!
Micky now performs, for all the top clubs around the UK and is a firm favourite at music festivals.
“This show is what the Fringe is all about” ★★★★ Three Weeks
“Vastly hardworking and naturally humorous” ★★★★ Edinburgh Festivals
“Excellent” Beyond Joke
“Ludicrous and hysterical” Counterfit Magazine
"The whole room is a sea of smiles and people crying with laughter. For any comedian, this has to be a sign of a job well done" Soundblab
“I absolutely love you, you are hilarious!” David
Plus three support acts, including the outstanding Anthony J Brown, others to be confirmed and as usual all held together (sort of) by your regular hosts award winning compere Fresh Prince Of Hull Fair Jed Salisbury and some guy called Rich Austin.
Doors open 6:30pm for the pizzas, show starts at 8pm (or whenever we can be arsed). Tickets £15 in advance or on the door (where available) or £12 for CCC members or with NUS / NHS card).
TICKETS ON SALE NOW from https://see.tickets/cccmicky
Tickets available to collect from the venue itself on the night: The Back Room, 175a Hallgate, Cottingham HU16 4BB (please message us on FB or send an email to [email protected] to reserve tickets to purchase on the night at the advance rate).
We've sold out (or very nearly) the last few months so please make sure you're booking/reserving in advance. If you're coming in groups of four or more it's helpful if you can book together or let us know your total group size so that we can allocate seating.
Cottingham Comedy Club, winner of Yorkshire's Best Independent Comedy Club 2023 and 2024 and the village’s only comedy venue, provides an unique comedy experience in many ways. This intimate club gets you up close and personal with the acts, many of whom are breaking through into TV, or are established acts from the UK and international comedy circuit. The Back Room is a welcoming venue and we have a dedicated room for the comedy, with regular breaks between the acts for you to lubricate your throats with laughter juice. With four acts and a compere it’s great value for money at less than £2.50 per comedian. We think it’s the most fun you can have with friends on a midweek night out.
