Cotswold Sheep Needle Felting Class Cost of Class: Tier 1: $60.00, Tier 2: $50.00, Tier 3: $30.00

Class Duration: approximately 5.5 hours

Age restriction: 10+
Tier 1 Class option: $60. The needle felting kit, and all materials is included in this option.
The kit contains everything you need to start felting. The kit includes the following:

• Foam felting surface

We will be creating a wonderful, whimsical Cotswold Sheep using wool taken from the Exchange Place’s herd of Cotswold sheep, that will be completed before the class is over. This is a hands-on class, and needles are sharp. Please keep this in mind when signing up for the class.
During the class, we will go over the different fiber options available, and the different effects and creations you can achieve with different materials. We will go over the basic tools needed to needle felt.
After the brief presentation we will dive right into felting our sweet little sheep. We will begin with simple shapes and follow the project template/tutorial to make the sheep. We will go over how to hold the needle, the correct needle felting techniques, how to use the template to make pieces approximately the same size. Troubleshooting tips will be given as we work on the project to help with any mistakes we make. Finished project size: 4.5” to 5” in height.
All that you need to bring is (depending upon tier, of course) patience, curiosity, an open mind, and a good sense of humor.

Price includes the gate fee for the Exchange Place Spring Garden Fair (Saturday, April 27, 2024 (10 a.m.-5 p.m.), and Sunday, April 28, 2024 (noon-5 p.m.), and a donation to Exchange Place.
