About this Event
Join Reclaim Art Tribe at One Colchester Community Hub for this FREE creative session
In this session we will be embracing playfulness and creativity by decorating handmade Christmas decorations.
A selection of premade salt dough ornaments will be available for you to decorate using a variety of materials, such as paint, glitter, pens and mixed media. These handmade ornaments can be used year after year, and make great tree decorations, thoughtful gifts, and garlands.
Handmaking decorations has a variety of benefits. As the ornaments are made from natural ingredients, they are kinder to the environment. Even just including a few handmade decorations reduces consumerism and the purchase of products that contain plastics. And finally, making your own decorations is just pure childlike fun!
There will be a variety of shaped ornaments to choose from, as well as plain and mixed spice. The ornaments with mixed spice will subtly scent your home.
Christmas can be a difficult time for many, and this session is held with this in mind. Take this session as a gentle way to embrace the festive season in a way that makes you feel comfortable.
All materials and resources will be provided on the day. If you have any crafting material and/or supplies you would like to use, you are welcome to bring them along with you.
Tea and coffee are available throughout the session free of change. If you would like to contribute to the cost, you are able to make a small cash donation to C360.
This session is open to all adults (18+) only. Reclaim Art Tribe sessions are LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse and mental health inclusive – every adult is welcome here. Please reach out if you have any accessibility needs.
