COSTA'S ONECOAST INITIATIVE HITS THE ROAD, SUPPORTING HURRICANE RELIEF ALONG FLORIDA\u2019S WEST COAST

WHAT:

Costa Sunglasses is kicking off its Florida OneCoast Tour a series of donation events and community support efforts along Florida's West Coast. From November 7–24 2024 the Costa fleet will visit select retailers from Fort Myers to Crystal River offering on-the-ground support for local communities impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

As part of Costa’s OneCoast initiative which was created to aid coastal communities devastated by natural disasters the tour will raise funds for hurricane relief and provide direct assistance to the Worldwide Anglers Relief Fund (WARF). Costa will also collect donations of essential supplies and give local residents opportunities to get involved in the rebuilding process.

SUPPORT:

Throughout November Costa will match a portion of sales on Costa sunglasses apparel and accessories at participating retailers with proceeds benefiting the Worldwide Anglers Relief Fund (WARF) which aids captains guides and crew members impacted by natural disasters.

In collaboration with Grey Bull Rescue Foundation select retail locations will host supply drop centers for in-store donations and in person customers can donate $10 or more via QR code to receive a Costa T-shirt.

Several brand partners including YETI Protekt Camp Chef and Turtlebox have joined in to support the OneCoast Tour and will be actively involved throughout. The Costa fleet will feature the popular Costa Airstream and the Race Trailer Donation Center which will be central to a variety of community events including happy hours BBQs and a local fishing tournament.

In between tour stops Costa team members along with its conservation partners International Game Fish Association Captains for Clean Water and Tampa Bay Waterkeeper will aid in rebuilding projects and source local charter captains for waterway cleanups.

WHEN + WHERE:

Fri. 11/15 : ECONOMY TACKLE | Sarasota FL | 10am – 4pm

WHY:

The coastlines we cherish connect us all regardless of which body of water we call home. In the aftermath of the devastating 2017 hurricane season Costa launched its OneCoast initiative. OneCoast supports coastal communities impacted by natural disasters as they rebuild through the purchase of OneCoast apparel direct donations awareness and volunteering.

Funds raised through sales of Costa’s OneCoast apparel and accessories support the Worldwide Anglers Relief Fund (WARF) which was started by Costa & the International Game Fish Association to provide financial support to recreational angling communities in the wake of major natural disasters. Since 2017 WARF has distributed more than $305000 to support local captains guides and crew members in disaster-affected areas ensuring the recovery of coastal economies.

JOIN:

Costa invites the public to support the Florida OneCoast Tour by visiting local stops donating supplies or participating in the fundraising efforts. Together we can rebuild the communities that make our coastlines a special place for everyone.
