On May 4 at 4 PM, just before the sky comes alive with the Eta Aquariid meteor shower, join us at the Trillium Yoga Center for an unforgettable musical event. Christian Hosmer and Alisa Woods-Darie will perform a collection of evocative cello duets, bringing their soothing and therapeutic sounds to this celestial setting. The event will open with a guided meditation, with accompanying soft cello music and ocean drums. As the meditation draws to a close, we’ll transition into the duets—a beautiful collection of Baroque, Classical, and early Romantic pieces.
Guests are invited to experience the music in their own way—seated, lying on yoga mats, or expressing themselves through interpretive dance. The space will be filled with the resonance of cellos, inviting a deep connection to the music, the moment, and the anticipation of the meteor shower to come.
The cello’s deep, expressive tones resonate at frequencies similar to the human voice, creating a profound healing effect that calms the nervous system and fosters emotional release.
