Corvette Expo Trip Details
Those who want to drive together to Pigeon Forge, TN, on Thursday, 13 March, to attend Corvette Expo, we will meet for breakfast/brunch at the Cracker Barrel restaurant in London, KY, at 9:00 AM. We will then depart promptly at 10:30 AM to drive to Pigeon Forge. Anyone that does not want to have breakfast/brunch with our BGCC group at the restaurant that morning, but wants to drive with our BGCC group to Pigeon Forge, can do so by arriving at the restaurant in time to depart with our BGCC group at 10:30 AM. Please let Audrey Gayle Young (copied) know by this Thursday if you are planning to have breakfast/brunch at the restaurant so she can let them know how many will be in our group.
We will drive together to Pigeon Forge. Once we arrive, everyone will be on their own to decide if they want to go for a light lunch, go to the Corvette Expo event at the Le Conte convention center, go shopping, or whatever until checking into your hotel (most hotel check in time is 3:00 PM).
Thursday evening, at 6:00 PM, is our BGCC group dinner at Harpoon Harry's restaurant, located in Pigeon Forge next to Walden Landing and just north of the entrance to The Island. This dinner is open to all our BGCC folks, and we will be joined by Austin Coop along with some other folks that have been on 2 Lane America trips. Please let Mark Reynolds (copied) know if will be attending this Thursday evening dinner so he can let Austin know our total number since Austin is making the restaurant reservation.
Also on Thursday evening is the Tail of the Dragon drive. Everyone can decide if they want to go to dinner at Harpoon Harry's or drive the Tail of the Dragon.
We will discuss on Thursday, based on the weather forecasts, about attending the Corvette Expo event on Friday, or Saturday, or both. We will also discuss a possible group "drive" around the back roads near Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg on Friday and or Saturday.
New this year, on Friday night, is a cruise in at the Hard Rock Cafe restaurant parking lot. We understand there will be food trucks there. Once we arrive in Pigeon Forge, we will discuss plans to attend the Friday night cruise in.
