Take a break from dating apps, and swiping! As an alternative, enjoy a night of real face-to-face interactions at Cornish Speed Dating, connecting with like-minded singles, having fun mini dates and chances to match using our simple scorecard system.
The Old Ale House offers a wide range of beers, ales, cider and spirits, with friendly welcoming staff. This traditional pub has a quirky atmosphere with saw dust on the floor, free monkey nuts and a cosy feel. (***Nut Allergies Beware***)
For singles aged 50+ living in Cornwall (you don't have to be Cornish)
How it works;
Arrive between 6pm and 6.45pm. Feel free to grab yourself a refreshing drink from the downstairs bar and then head to our reserved upstairs area with your drink, to sign in, meet our host and chat to fellow daters.
First bell rings by 7pm to signal the start of dating, please be ready.

Ladies stay seated, Gentlemen rotate when the bell rings!
Fill in your scorecards as you go, with a yes or no for seeing that person again/getting to know them further.
Five minutes per date, up to 15 dates each! Plus mingling opportunities throughout, with intervals in between for toilet breaks and a drink top up.
Hand in your completed scorecards to the host before you leave the venue. Match results sent to you via email, the following day, (those you mutually ticked a yes for) along with their phone numbers.
