This series, designed exclusively for Cornerstone Alumni, will guide participants through personal reflection, conversations with important people in their lives, and the intentional planning in how to successfully age in place.
Speakers will include:
- Carlisle Shealy, assistant director for Virginia Tech's Center for Gerontology
- Tina King, executive director of the New River Valley Agency on Aging in Pulaski
- Ron Boyd, president and CEO of the Local Office on Aging in Roanoke
- Brian Jacks, associate state director of AARP
Each of the five focus areas are interconnected and contribute to the overall success of aging in place. Attendance at all three workshops is encouraged.
Registration is $10 for each workshop and includes a $5 gift to support Virginia Tech's Gerontology Annual Fund. Lunch and an Aging in Place workbook are included with registration.
