So what exactly is percussion? Maybe you think of virtuosic marimba players flying around the keyboard with gymnastic ease. Perhaps for you, percussion is a hodge-podge of Foley sounds: rocks, horns, glasses. What about just simply tapping on the table in front of you, or the sound of stomping on the floor?Well, if you want to answer the question for yourself, please join the Cornell University Percussion Ensemble for our fall concert where you will be able to see everything above and much more. It will be a concert for the eyes and ears with works by Thierry de Mey, Austin Keck, and Carl Schimmel.
