Corn Dollies for Christmas

Straw has been used for thousands of years for practical, spiritual and decorative purposes. Many in Britain will recognise the harvest time corn dollies as part of the cycle of the seasons, but in other countries the craft is also extended to festive decorations at Christmas.

Join Carol, an experienced decorative straw artist, to learn traditional plaiting and create handcrafted, natural, ecofriendly decorations for the festive season. Beginners will be able to craft simple baubles and mini wreaths whilst the more experienced may choose to create a light-as-a-feather angel tree topper.
