As Halloween approaches, it's the perfect time to challenge our ideas about which animals we embrace-and which we fear. In this thought-provoking session, we'll turn the spotlight on two creatures often misunderstood and steeped in folklore: the cormorant and the coyote.
These urban wildlife neighbours are more than spooky silhouettes or cautionary tales. Discover the fascinating biology and behaviour of both species and explore how our perceptions are shaped by culture, myth, and media.
Join Environmentalist in Residence Carly Davenport in conversation with cormorant expert, Gail Fraser, and coyote expert, Tiziana Gelmi Candusso, as they unpack the science and debunk the myths about these remarkable animals. You'll leave with a deeper appreciation for the wild-and sometimes weird-creatures that we coexist with in Toronto.
