Cork as a Filmmaking Hub

The programme for this year’s IndieCork includes two features, two documentaries and 25 short films made in Cork City and County; these representing but a fraction of the locally produced films submitted to the festival. This reflects a burgeoning film scene in Cork City as well as the growing use of County Cork as a film location. It’s timely therefor to consider what steps can be taken to develop Cork as a film hub for cinema and broadcast media.

The panel will consist of local directors and producers. Policy makers from Cork City and County will also be invited to attend.
