In this circle, led by trained core shamanic practitioner Milo Burdine, you will actively participate in shamanic journeying. Shamanic journeying is an active mystical practice of traveling into the spiritual realms known as the Otherworld or Annwyn in Welsh folklore. By using a drum with the aid of our companion guardian spirits we will travel via spirit flight into these realms for the purpose of healing.
This circle operates from a core shamanic universal foundation blended with the European pagan ancestral traditions of the facilitator.
This shamanic healing circle will help to deepen your shamanic journey practices, cultivate enduring bonds with companion guardian spirits, work on personal and collective healing, strengthen your connection to the divine, and radiate your sacred light into the cosmos.
While fragmented there is strong evidence of powerful ancient shamanic practices specific to European paganism: Wolf shapeshifting warrior cults, cave paintings depicting shamanic spirit warfare, Seidr craft of the Norse Sorcerers, offerings of treasures to the well maidens and water goddesses in Britain, Scottish witchcraft trial confessions of spirit trance, and British stone burial mounds used for ancestor veneration.
Within European folklore many types of spirits are said to exist in nature and in the otherworld: Land spirits (landvættir in Old Norse), Witches familiar spirits, sea spirits, Elves, dragons, gods and goddesses, and the Fae. These spiritual guardians walk beside us offering their strength and guidance. These healing spirits can be worked with directly during shamanic journeying for specific reasons such as restoring soul shard fragments due to traumatic experiences or helping to soothe anxiety or ease chronic depression.
The foundation of this circle is strengthened by the Core Shamanic and Neo Shamanic practitioner training of the facilitator Milo Burdine. Core Shamanism and Neo Shamanism are modern western approaches within the theological study and practices of Shamanism.
