Core Beliefs – Art as Therapy Workshop

Join us at Art Talk in Newport, RI for a unique Art as Therapy workshop designed to help you explore your inner world through creativity. These 90-minute sessions are led by a licensed clinician and center on the process of art-making as a path to personal growth and reflection.

Our core beliefs are like the lenses through which we see and experience life. Sometimes they’re clear, sometimes distorted, and often layered.

In this workshop, we’ll use poured acrylic paint to emulate those shifting lenses — watching how colors blend, collide, and settle, much like the beliefs that shape our view of the world.

Unlike traditional art classes, these workshops focus on expression rather than outcome. You’ll begin with a guided prompt, have uninterrupted time to create, and close with an optional group discussion.
