What can I say about my mate Hamish Cowan? He’s truly one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. I first heard of him back in the ’90s when his band, Cordrazine, released their mega-hit “Crazy”—they were a breath of fresh air and a real inspiration. Funny enough, we only crossed paths recently, but since then, he’s become one of my most valued friends.I’m incredibly proud to be part of Cordrazine’s EP launch. Not only will I be opening the show, but I’ll also be joining the band on stage later in the night. Please join us for this very special, once-in-a-lifetime experience at the iconic Northcote Social Club. I can’t wait to perform alongside someone I truly admire—and with one of Australia’s best bands. Let’s do this!

Cordrazine first emerged from Melbourne in 1996, captivating audiences with their debut EP ‘Time to Leave’ and the exquisite vocals of Hamish Cowan. Their 1997 album, *From Here To Wherever*, soared into the ARIA top ten on the strength of heartfelt ballads like ‘Crazy’ and widespread critical acclaim, even as the band parted ways before its release. The emotional intensity of their music and sudden success brought both adoration and overwhelming scrutiny, prompting Cowan to step away from the spotlight just as Cordrazine’s star was rising.
In the years that followed, Cowan explored his passion for dance music, collaborating with pioneers like Bryan St James and Mark James. These projects saw international chart success, with tracks such as ‘Life Song’ and ‘I Want You’ earning top spots in club charts across Australia, Europe, and North America. Now, after years of creative evolution, Cordrazine returns to share new music—reminding fans of their enduring artistry and emotional depth.
