Not only will Cordrazine launch the You See In Me EP, this will also be the last ever Cordrazine show.Hamish:
“It’s no secret I have a complicated relationship with music. I love singing and making beautiful sounds with my dear friends. Performing, however - the build-up to a show and then standing before an audience provokes extraordinary stress and anxiety. It pokes all of my fragile parts in a way nothing else does.
Despite this, Cordrazine has endured. We are very proud of the music we produced, and of what we have achieved. That is why, rather than just slipping away, we are making this announcement. We want to come together and celebrate the journey with those of you who have ridden along with us.
We know there are many people scattered across Australia and beyond who will be disappointed they can’t be there. For those in Melbourne, we would love you to join us for what will be an emotional night.
Thank you for supporting us over so many years. We are looking forward to playing for you, one last time.”
Cordrazine have found a kindred spirit in fellow '90s traveller and good friend Alex Lloyd, who will appear as a special guest on the night. Best known for the huge hit “Amazing”, which topped JJJ's Hottest 100 in 2001, the multi-platinum, three time Aria Male Artist of the year, Lloyd shares not only a mesmerising musicality with Cowan, he also shares a complex relationship with the industry more broadly, which was so sensitively and bravely explored on a recent episode of ABC-TV's Australian Story.

“What can I say about my mate Hamish Cowan? He’s truly one of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. I first heard of him back in the ’90s when his band, Cordrazine, released their mega-hit “Crazy”—they were a breath of fresh air and a real inspiration. Funny enough, we only crossed paths recently, but since then, he’s become one of my most valued friends.
I’m incredibly proud to be part of Cordrazine’s EP launch. Not only will I be opening the show, but I’ll also be joining the band on stage later in the night. Please join us for this very special, once-in-a-lifetime experience at the iconic Northcote Social Club. Opening the evening will be Melbourne-based four-piece USER (Andrew Nunns, Frank Galgano, Lisa Gibbs & Daryl Bradie) who craft a visceral blend of alternative electronic and shadowy postpunk, wrapped in immersive visuals and a brooding, theatrical energy.
