Walk description: This is a gorgeous walk which follow a tarmac path along the river Tyne. We even pass an old Roman bridge! We will walk along the dirt path by the river and come back along the tarmac track. Please arrive for 10amStarting point (postcode or What Three Words reference): in the car park at the end of Corbridge bridge. W3W: Taker.dignify.divide
Getting there: Accessible by car and public bus. W3W: Taker.dignify.divide
Parking: There is a large car park next to the bridge which is free for unlimited time. If the car park is full there are often spaces at the other side of the roundabout or on the roadside.
Walk type (baby-carrying, toddler): baby carrying and toddling only
Length (distance and approx. time): approx 2 miles long which will take around an hour.
Terrain (what’s the ground like?): this is a flat route , mostly on tarmac and sandy paths. Suitable for trainers.
Refreshments: please bring your own but there are plenty available in the village
Toilets: Toilets are not available on site but there are public toilets across the bridge, about a 5 minute walk away.
Baby changing: no facilities on site but plenty options within Corbridge which is a 5 minute walk across the bridge.
Dogs welcome: Yes, if kept on a lead and well behaved around children/other dogs. Please respect those who may not be confident with dogs.
