About this Event
Coral Grief is the Seattle-based dream pop trio comprised of Lena Farr-Morrissey (vocals, bass, synth) Sam Fason (guitar, synth) and Cam Hancock (drums). Rich guitars, glowing synths, driving bass, and ethereal vocals swirl around skeletal drum beats to create a textured, intricate sound that is experimental, playful, and catchy.
The band recorded their debut self-titled EP between March and August 2020 at home. While the songs are not confined to quarantine, they are a product of its themes. Ambient guitars and weavings synths create the space for Farr-Morrissey’s melodies and Fason’s guitar work to flourish, with expert bass lines propelling each song forward.
Since releasing their self-titled EP with Seattle tape label Den Tapes in May 2021, Coral Grief has established themselves as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most exciting new acts. Since their first live show in July 2021, the band has already played some of Seattle’s most iconic venues, opening for acclaimed artists like Indigo de Souza, Chastity Belt, and Dummy, as well as playing Treefort Music Fest and Fisherman’s Village Music Festival.
