Do you have a favourite garment that you have worn so much that it is starting to wear thin? Or maybe you have a garment that you absolutely love and would like to make more but can’t find a pattern that is similar?We would love you to bring along a simple garment so that we can show you how to trace a pattern from it. Taking a detailed look at all the individual panels will add to your garment construction skills and you will go home with a paper pattern that can be used to sew a replicate of your favourite garment.

You will learn:
How to identify the different panels in the garment.
How to find the grainline.
How to drape fabric to replicate each panel.
How to mark seams, darts, gathers, etc.
How to trace fabric panels onto pattern paper.
How to add markings such as notches, darts, etc.
How to add seam allowances.
How to prepare your pattern for cutting out.
Skill Level:
Intermediate: You must have some prior dressmaking experience.
