Join Gübtüs at the Ottawa Art Gallery for an afternoon of creativity and sustainability at Upcycle Art - Blooms of Beauty! Let your imagination bloom as you transform everyday materials into beautiful works of art.
In this workshop designed for adults, we'll explore upcycle art, focusing on shaping discarded plastic bottles into flower stems. Using tools like hand scissors, soldering irons, heating guns, hot glue guns, punching tools, or plastic push pins, we'll detail the flowers.
-No prior artistic experience needed.

-Material fees are covered.

INSTRUCTOR BIOGRAPHY:
Günsu Hayriye Ozan, a.k.a. Gübtüs, is an interdisciplinary artist based in Ottawa, Canada. Originally from Adana, Turkey, Ozan has two fine arts degrees in Graphic Design and Fashion and Textile Design from Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey. In 2022, she graduated from the Ottawa School of Art, where she developed her interdisciplinary approach to art. Ozan draws inspiration from the diverse people and nature surrounding her and focuses on upcycling in her recent works, creating sustainable art from discarded materials.
