Copy of Newtown Creek Community Boat Tour 2025

We invite you to attend the annual Newtown Creek Community Boat Tour on Thursday September 19, 2024. Aboard a climate-controlled vessel with indoor and outdoor seating – we will discuss the progress of the creek’s remedial investigation, and engage with businesses, civic groups, community board members, and other community leaders.

Representatives onboard will include Newtown Creek Group, Evergreen Exchange, Long Island City Partnership, Maspeth Industrial Business Association, and members of the Newtown Creek Community Advisory Group.

SCHEDULE

5 p.m. - Reception

6 p.m. - Boarding

6:30 p.m. - Boat Departs

The boat will depart from the Anchor QEA dock in Long Island City near the intersection of 54th Avenue and Vernon Boulevard in Hunters Point, promptly at 6:30 p.m. Participants should meet at the Anchor QEA building in Long Island City, at 54-10 Vernon Blvd, Long Island City, NY 11101, beginning at 5 p.m., with the excursion on Newtown Creek starting at 6:30 p.m.
