About this Event
The Love and Loss event offers a sacred space for individuals to connect and create a homemade Luna Rose candle that symbolizes your journey through grief. We recognize that grief comes in many forms whether that be death or non-death related. Instances of love and loss touch us in ways that are unique to our lived experiences. Your candle is a tangible recognition of what you wish to illuminate and connect to. Whether that be parts of yourself that you are calling back home, and/or a loved one's spirit that glows when you light your candle in remembrance, it is for you to decide. This event is an invitation for you to come as you are and be held in a community that understands the waves of love and loss. This is our third time hosting our Love and Loss event and we are honored to bring this community together again. Let's explore, connect, and create together.
Please read everything below so that you understand what we provide & what you need to bring:
What is Included:
- All materials needed to create/customize your own Luna Rosa candle
- Cacao beverage and intention setting
- Small sound bowl activation & grounding techniques
- Journal prompts
- Connect to practitioners and facilitators who specialize in grief work
- Opportunities to connect and share
- Grief resources/support
Please Bring:
- Something to sit on (pillow, blanket, yoga mat, etc.) for the sound bowl and community connection time. This part of the event will be on the floor so be mindful when considering what to bring to be comfortable.
- Journal if you would like to write anything down from the experience
- Water bottle
- Optional: Something that reminds you of your loved one (a photo, jewelry, a note, etc.)

Reminder: There is no pressure to put on a "happy face" or feel like you have to suppress your grief. This space is about embracing the raw emotions that come from experiencing grief and creating something beautiful for you to take with you. Be exactly as you are and please give others that same gift of showing up authentically. Please respect others and their journey with grief. There is no limit to having compassion <3
