About this Event
Hi there! I'm Russ your host and I'll be leading a drawalong on a different theme each month. I'll walk you through sketching popular characters and the more obscure, as well as guiding you to create your own original comic creations. I use a camera and big screen so everyone can see.
I've been a professional comic artist/ cartoonist since graduating from Falmouth School of Art and I weave my decades of comics and cartooning knowledge (technical and artists) into my sessions.
I love gamifying our drawing sessions with the help of my D&D dice to get everyone involved and fire up our imaginations. It's really fun to see drawings go in unexpected directions and I love seeing what everyone creates!
There'll be plenty of time for free drawing, experimentation and following your own ideas. I'm not precious about what you choose to do - it's about having fun and finding your own groove.
Materials are provided but you’re welcome to bring your own (always happy to geek out over art supplies!)
No matter your style, skill, or background, you're welcome. This is about creating comic art in a friendly pub environment.
