Our GM Analysts Network is back! We’ve partnered with Policy @ Uni of Manc'r to create a full day of updates, discussion and networking.
About this Event

After a 2½-year break we’re back and looking forward to bringing our Greater Manchester Analysts Network (@GMAnalysts) back together. The network is designed to be a forum where any analysts, researchers, data experts or data scientists working in or with public sector organisations across Greater Manchester can come together. The network grew over eight meetups during 2018 and 2019 and has seen nearly 200 people attend at least one of those sessions. So if you’ve been before, we’d love to see you again and if you're new to this or a role across Greater Manchester, we'd love to welcome you.

Session will run between 10am and 3pm at the University of Manchester and we’ll have number of guest speakers to help bring us back together. They’ll be great content, they’ll be lunch, and they’ll be fabulous delegates ready to network, share learning and make new connections.

Location - room 2B.025 in Engineering Building B, which is number 25 on the Campus Map - https://documents.manchester.ac.uk/display.aspx?DocID=6507 - The main entrance is through Engineering, Building A on Booth Street East, which is interconnected and marked as number 24. An alternative entrance is available on Grosvenor Street.

Public Transport : Directions to Oxford Road Campus from nearby train stations are available online, along with bus information.

Parking : The nearest Pay and Display Car Park is on Booth Street West. Access is via Higher Cambridge Street. The postcode for sat navs is M15 6AR.

• 9.30am – Registration

• 10.00am – Welcome and Introduction (Paul Holme, Chair of the Network)

• 10.30am – Greater Manchester Information Strategy (Phillipa Nazari, GMCA)

• 11.00am – Data Strategies (TBC)

• 11.30am – Greater Manchester ICS Data & Intelligence (Matt Hennessey)

• 12.00pm – Lunch and Marketplace Project Exhibition (Theme: Inequality & Cost of Living)

• 1.00pm – Policy@Manchester (Tanya Graham, University of Manchester)

• 1.15pm – ONS Local (Abbie Davies, ONS)

• 2.00pm – Cross-governmental Analyst Network (Caity Rice/Sarah-Kate O’Grady)

• 2.15pm – Thinking ahead about the GM Analysts Network - how we want the Network operate? (Paul Holme)

• 3.00pm – Close and Networking

As always it would be great to seen as many people as possible come together for this event, sharing knowledge, asking questions, driving change and growing the network.
