About this Event
Temporarily postponed! The pinecone are late this year. Bloomin nature doing it's own thing ;) he he!! Date to be confirmed within 2 weeks....
Pinecone gin has gone down a treat on lots of my forages, and the good news is that it is dead easy to make. If you've not tasted it before you're in for a treat! Foraged in spring, it tastes like christmas. It is made from the male and female cones of the Scots Pine, Pinus sylvestris. In Georgia it is used for its medicinal properties for treatement of colds and flue and I've found myself using it for this in the middle of winter. Well, thats my excuse anyway!
We will meet part way up Georges Lane, an unadopted bridleway that you can drive part way along, then walk to the foraging spot. Details will be sent to ticket holders. Please contact me if you have any transport questions.
Cost. I want all my forages to be affordable but this one requires more materials than the others, hence the slightly higher than usual ticket price.
