GRIEF'S JOURNEY
When loss reshapes your world, ordinary life offers few places to fully feel what needs to be felt. If you are ready to connect with others on a similar journey, we'd love you to join us.
We offer a safe, accepting space for you to just be ... with gentle, ground-based interaction with our therapy horses as optional part of the healing process.
The horses will not ask you to explain or justify your pain. They simply meet you where you are, offering unconditional presence that allows sadness to move through. You will find room to breathe again.
Grief shows us the depth of our love. You will not leave with grief erased - but with the quiet knowledge that you can carry it forward.
No prior horse experience needed.
Unlike conventional approaches to grief, where talk takes centre stage, we recognise that grief lives in the body as much as the mind.
With their large hearts and nervous systems, the horses co-regulate ours, helping calm us physically. Being with them shifts something at a level beneath language, something that talk therapy alone cannot reach.
Soo brings both professional training and lived experience to this work. As a trauma-trained somatic practitioner and registered counsellor, she knows how to support the release of grief from the body. She has walked her own path through loss - on many occasions - and genuinely understands what it means to have your world turned upsidedown.
We start by connecting in circle with a cuppa, and offer guided activities throughout the session. All involvement is optional - if you prefer to simply sit with others, that is fine. Sometimes grief makes words hard to find.
Every grief journey is unique, as is every loss. Whether you've lost a partner, child, pet, relationship, or something else, you are warmly invited to join us.
