BUT WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO GET COMPETITIVE AND PLAY HONEST, GENUINE VOLLEYBALL.
*Tournament Overview*
Regulations and guidelines
- International (standard) volleyball rules, NO sideout scoring will be played throughout the whole day, we will be sticking to RALLY scoring only.
- Net will be set at a mens' outdoor height.
- No age limit.
- No height limit.
- No non-Asian limit.
- Allowed to have a girl on your team at your own concern.
- You are allowed to sub for ONE person at anytime BEFORE THE SERVE WHISTLE.
- You are allowed an infinite amount of subbing, as long as you sub BEFORE THE WHISTLE.
- AT LEAST 4 players on the court for the team. OTHERWISE your team will be granted a 5 minute grace period decided by the ref(s), and after the 5 minute grace period every ONE minute is SEVEN points to the opposing team. (Yes, if your team doesn't show up after 8 minutes, you will drop a set. We believe 8 minutes is a considerable amount of time for your team to show up with AT LEAST 4 players.)
- Rotating will be enforced, however, stacking will not.
- If there's any confusion, bring it up to the host before the games start.
Format
- Pool play will be played up to 21, RALLY scoring.
- ONLY 2 sets will be played in pool play.
- A SWEEP in sets will add 3 tallies to the WINNING teams score, a SPLIT will result in 1 tally to each teams score.
- Top 3 teams in each bracket advance to bracket play.
- Bracket play (play-offs) will be played in RALLY scoring.
- Play-offs will be best of 3, first two sets to 25, third set will be up to 15.
- If a play-off game is to reach 3rd set, teams will switch sides when a team reaches a score of 8.
Fees and prize
- $100 entry fee, with an additional $20 trash deposit.
- Cash prize (not finalized, however, as more teams join, the prize will increase respectively.)
- For trash deposit, each team canopy will be handed a bag for their trash. To obtain your $20 deposit money back, we will check-in with your team and canopy and refund respectively.

*MUST READ and miscellaneous information*
- Crooked Lake Park also has a beach, and a couple fishing docks. We encourage that you bring equipment accordingly in your own interest. (The docks on the lake are VERY high-pressure, from experience)
- There are public bathrooms (not port-a-potties), however, we do not know if the toilet paper will be restocked.
- There are 2 sand volleyball courts that are open. The sand nets belong to the park, please do NOT intentionally damage ANY of the park property.
- The Anoka county does NOT allow any consumption of alcohol or substances at public parks. If your team decides to consume anything that interferes with the law, YOU are responsible for YOUR OWN CHARGES.
- There will be concessions ran near the pavillion.
