About this Event
Come learn the skill of starting your own seeds plus get tips about how to garden successfully in the cooler months.
Starting seeds is a very rewarding experience and gives you a much broader range of options for the varieties of vegetables you want to grow. Gardening during the cooler months works well in our climate and is much easier than fighting the pests, weeds and heat of summer. Plus, there is very little need to water!
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn about what is needed to start seeds including transplanting
- Get tips about what to grow and how to care for your garden during the cool months
- Take home a tray containing the seeds you planted and also lettuce and kale plants ready for transplanting outside
About the instructor:

She is passionate about sharing her knowledge, gleaned over the years, to help others acquire the skills necessary for successful seed starting and cool season vegetable gardening. Alison believes if you plant a seed, nourish the plant, harvest the bounty and share it in a meal with others, you have fulfilled needs of the body, mind and soul.
