Cool Africa Kiddies Art Jamming is a child-led art session aiming to nurture kids' creativity, confiednce and communication✨

In Hong Kong, where kids are taught to compete and show results from early age, we believe that it's essential for them to have an access to a space where they can express their ideas and feelings without judment🗣️

We provide an inviting space and various materials for kids to explore🚀 We embrace the process; not only the product🎨🖌️ We encourage kids to fail because that's how they learn🌱

Just like how kids are raiesd in Africa 🌍

Introduction & Prep

Info: The facilitator will introduce the new materials & tools to kids so they will know how to use them. Kids will be asked to put on the aprons and costumes of their choice (provided) to prepare for the fun part!

Art Jamming
Host: Chihiro Mutanga

Info: This part is a child-led art session but the facilitator will be there to support and enhance kids' learning. Kids are encouraged to choose colors, tools, and movement by themselves and will be given a theme each time (such as "underwater world" or "my favourite animal") which they can decide to go out of.

Reflection & Wrap up

Info: In the reflection part, the facilitator will be asking open questions to the kids on their creation (e.g. "Tell me about this blue swirl!"). Kids' art pieces will be hanged in kid-eye level for them to feel proud. The kids will also learn to tidy up the workspace.
