CCS members are invited to gather in Newport, Rhode Island, USA, to celebrate the 297th anniversary of Captain James Cook's birth. The event coincides with the 250th anniversary of the scuttling of the original HMS Endeavour in the same harbor. The replica Endeavour built in Fremantle, Western Australia, was in Newport for 16 days in 1998, and it is hoped that it will return for the 300th anniversary in 2028.
This EVENT is not hosted by the CCS. I am hosting the meet up....a member of the CCS. The US times are Mon Oct 27 2025. Herreshoff Marine Museum.
