She is co-author with John Blake of “Jazz Improvisation Made Easy”, a string method which received international acclaim by string players. Jody is also the author of “Improvise!”, a method she used with classical string students to teach them usable music theory and creativity on their instruments. Jody taught violin and chamber music at The Jody Harmon Violin Studio for 30 years in suburban Boston, and was a frequent clinician at String Festivals and music camps all over the United States and Canada, as well as a frequent speaker and presenter at National Conferences.
