About this Event
For youth ages five through twelve and caregivers!
Did you know that the Culinary Literacy Center has a bee hive? We are so lucky that our friends the bees share their honey with us! It's time to get together and enjoy this sweet harvest!
Join us as we gather to celebrate bees, honey, and ways that we can use honey in our cooking!
We will share space together safely on the Skyline terrace on the fourth floor of Parkway Central Library. Safely distanced, our chef guests will prepare a few different recipes - made in individual portions. All chefs will eat and drink only what they themselves prepare.
We will make something to bake, something to drink, and something to drizzle!
In addition to the time of class (10:00 to 11:45 AM), please set aside additional time to take the elevators up to and down from the fourth floor in very small groups keeping a safe physical distance. Nourishing Literacy team members will be helping to greet and dismiss guests with activities and fun, to make the waiting time go a little faster. If able to join us for this event, please plan on arriving to Parkway Central Library at 9:30 AM, and please plan on leaving at 12:15 PM at the latest.
This event will be outdoors and is weather-dependent. In the chance of rain, guests will be notified with a rain date.
Final note to share: All guests are asked to be wear masks throughout the entire event as an agreement of participation, except while eating and drinking. Thank you for your understanding of this as we continue to take precautions in keeping all guests as safe as possible.
