
About this Event
Taco night just leveled up. In this hands-on cooking class, you’ll create your own vibrant tortillas using natural colors like beets, turmeric, and blue corn — then press and cook them to perfection. Working in groups, you’ll cook two traditional taco fillings (pollo asado and beef picadillo) as well as classic Mexican rice and beans. Then it’s time to plate up your taco trio, garnish it like a pro, and finish the night with dessert.
With chips and guac to start and something sweet to end, this colorful, flavor-packed evening is perfect for date nights, foodie friends, and anyone ready to roll up their sleeves and cook something beautiful. Wine will be available for guests 21 and over, non-alcoholic beverages will also be served.
You’ll make:
– Naturally colored corn tortillas
– Pollo Asado and Beef Picadillo taco fillings
– Mexican red rice and seasoned beans
– A colorful plated taco trio (plus dessert)
About the Location
This class is held at our teaching kitchen located at 1484 South State Street in Salt Lake City. Included with your class are recipes, ingredients, and all tools required. Please wear closed toe shoes. There is no minimum experience required. We often take photos during class to share on social media and on our website. Please let us know if you want to opt out.
